$1 Diet Day 25 Supper

Saturday, April 25th, 2009

Tonight I enjoyed something new for supper.  Not new to me, but new to the diet.  I had an fried egg sandwich.

Total:

  • $2.85 available
  • $0.20 for 2 slices of bread
  • $0.10 for 1 egg
  • _______________
  • $2.55 for tomorrow.

I also forgot that on Tuesday when my wife brought home those cream puffs, she also brought home some colby cheese.  I started eating this as well tonight.  Not the top choice considering the work slow down by the crap monkeys, but it is free and it tastes good.

Another new google search for those who find this interesting is “hurricane jelly.”  For the life of me I cannot figure out what on my site is generating this.  All the others were logical, but this is just odd to me.  I place number 8 in the google searches for hurricane jelly.  I do not even know what that is, it sounds perverse.

$1 Diet Day 25 Lunch

Saturday, April 25th, 2009

Maggots again.  Oh how I hate the bland little rice maggots.  May they be exposed to magnified sunlight and die a painful death.  This dish is now second to oatmeal on my most hated.  I do not anticipate eating this again before the month is over.

$3.16 available- $0.31 for the rice and dressing.  $2.85 available for the rest of the day.

I did a search to see if there were any other unique google searches drawing people to my site.  The only other is “milk torture.”  I am guessing this harkens to the college challenge of drinking a gallon of milk in a hour which typically ends in the person puking.  I have considered this as an option for future challenges.  Surprisingly, I have yet to get a hit on “crap monkey” even though I am up to page 2 of google for that little gem.  The crap monkeys are still releasing very little product.

$1 Diet Day 10 Lunch

Friday, April 10th, 2009

My breakfast strategy was a great success.  I ate my lunch around 11:3o, right around when I started realizing I was awake.  Last night I scored another succes in cheaping down my diet, besides the rice.  I found some tasty spaghetti sauce on sale for $0.04 an ounce.  I was glad, because the cheap stuff I got a Walmart was not that tasty.  So for lunch, I returned to my old standby of spaghetti.

Totals-

  • $0.78 going into lunch
  • -$0.20 for 4 ounces of spaghetti
  • -$0.08 for 2 ounces of spaghetti sauce
  • _____________________
  • $0.50  This is a huge amount of money for supper.

I know everyone will be pleased to know that the crap monkeys in the packaging department are back at work.  Even with this positive improvement, the regularity has not subsided so far.  We might be in a new dawn for this diet.
